Career Objective Essay Prewrite

  • Students will do pre-writing activities for their Career Objective Essay.

  • Students will complete the pre-writing exercise in class.

Career Objective Essay Rough Draft

  • Students will use their pre-writing exercise to type their rough draft of their Career Objective Essay.

  • Students will wrap up completing their Application Fact Sheet.

COE Edit/Finding Employment

  • Students will make corrections on their edited COE and select stationary for publishing.

  • Students will select a picture for the cover of their portfolio.

  • Students will learn the steps in the process of finding employment.

Resumes: Parts and Rules

  • Students will learn the different parts of a resume and the purpose of each.

  • Students will complete an activity to review basic resume writing rules.

Resumes: Type Rough Draft

  • Students will use their completed Employment Fact Sheet  and the template provided in class to type their rough draft of their resume.

Resume: Final Edit/Keeping a Job

  • Students will make corrections on their edited resumes and save to be printed.

  • Students will watch a video and complete an activity on ways to not get fired.
