Business Cards

Business cards are a great way to help you with networking. Having a few in your wallet to share with contacts and people you meet will make connecting much easier.  Even if you don’t have a job yet in your field, you can still create a card for yourself.

There are hundreds of types of business cards, some are plain, some are fancy, but they all contain important contact information that makes it easier for people to share this information.

This year seniors have an opportunity to create their own business cards. You will visit a site where you can create your own design and I will print out a sheet of 10 business cards for you. There are two options – you may either create one in Senior Seminar class or you may create one on your own. Follow the directions below depending on which option you chose.

On Your Own Method – Outside of Senior Seminar

  1. Visit the Brother Business Card Template Site and follow the directions there to customize your business card. You might have to remove some fields like “name of company” or “address 2” or “fax number”. These can easily be deleted.

  2. Follow the directions to save your cards as a PDF.

  3. Attach the PDF to an email and send it to me at kslattery@cmths.org

  4. I will print up a sheet of 10 cards for you and give them to you the next time you come to class.

Once you have created a PDF, you can print up more by either taking a color copy to any office supply store where they can make copies for your on the perforated business card paper.

Also, there are businesses like Vistaprint where you can have cards make in bulk. You may not need 500 cards, but it might be a better deal than printing them on your own.
